WHAT WILL MY STUDENT LEARN? 1. Major, Minor, Blues, and Pentatonic Scales
2. Improvisation
3. Basics of Music Theory and Nashville Number System
4. Basics of Sight Reading, Learning of "Fake Books", and Chord sheets
5. Students pick songs they want to play
6. Strong focus on modern pop, classic rock, blues, and gospel playing techniques
7. Introduction to vocal singing and accompaniment instruments like harmonica and kazoo
8. Focus on rhythm, chord progressions, and finger pattern drills
9. Songwriting and song arrangement technique
10. Ear training
MISSION STATEMENT
I believe in the student having fun learning the love of piano and having a goal that within six months to one year of lessons the student has the skill level to play with bands, churches, or soloist if they choose.
COST & CONTACT INFORMATION
